Cathy graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto in 2003. Since graduation, Cathy has focused on orthopedics while working exclusively in a private practice setting. She has worked extensively as a senior physiotherapist as part of an interdisciplinary pain management team consisting of health care professionals working to empower patients with complex chronic pain issues to learn to better manage their symptoms and thereby improve their quality of life.

In addition to her experience in chronic pain, Cathy has also worked with individuals suffering from more acute pain; in these cases, Cathy enjoys combining education, manual therapy, and exercise prescription as part of the patient's treatment plan. Most recently, Cathy obtained her certification for Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 2005 (CAFCI). She has also taken part in extensive post-graduate education in chronic pain treatment and manual therapy.

As a new mother of twin girls, Cathy also has an interest in working with new moms during the postpartum period to regain their physical health.

Cathy remains enthusiastic about continuing her ongoing education in the field of physical therapy and is looking forward to future courses.
